More winning photographs

Below are more victorious photos from the Bologna Center competition. Yesterday, we featured a photograph of Morocco by Nicolò Lanciotti, repeated below, which was the overall winner and winner of the Travel Category. Here are the names of the other winners and the categories:

Best in People Category - tie between Eric Leikin and Justin Clark (Morocco)
Best in Bologna Category - Aurélien Billot (Strada Maggiore)
Best in Italy Category - tie between Aurélien Billot and Euri Lee (Venice)

As our readers can see, there is a lot to photograph and film in and around Bologna.

Many thanks to Courtney McCarty, the Student Government Association and the participants.

Dear Mr Graves,

Could you please post about housing? I reckon that's my key concern right now.

regards,

Carlos

Carlos - Thank you for your suggestion. We will be sure to do a post on housing. We'll try to feature Salvatore, who has been finding apartments for students for more than three decades (and found mine in 1981). In the meantime, a couple of things. First, there is no housing "on campus" -- students live in apartments near the Center. Generally they live in small groups, although some prefer to live alone. Second, Salvatore makes the process rather painless. If you watch the video we posted last week from Open House in Washington, you can hear Heymi Bahar, who attended SAIS Bologna in 2009-10, attest to how easy it is. But our readers deserve a more detailed explanation, and we'll give it early next week. Thanks again. As you've heard me say before, we like receiving suggestions and comments.
